      Hi Ismael, thanks for your question and interest.
      The peptide TnP was found and isolated from the venom of the toadfish Thalassophryne nattereri. In the beggining we used to have the crude venom as the source of the molecules to study. And it is more likely that just this species produce such molecule. But once we identify and elucide its structure we were able to syntese this peptide in laboratory. So, to use it as medicide we’ll manufacture it, so it won’t require extracting from the fish every time, which is the most reasonable idea, right?!
