This question could be answered in a few different ways!
DNA is made up of two complementary strands. As a molecule, it has a sugar-phosphate backbone with a nitrogen base (there are 4 different bases: A, T, G, C) The two strands of DNA face each other and the nitrogen bases pair up, A with T and G with C.
