My Work:

I am a graduate student in the genetics and molecular biology Ph.D. training program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I grew up in Front Royal, Virginia, and was recruited to swim at the University of Richmond. That is where I had the opportunity to find my passion for scientific research. I have been a part of several research groups including the Skromne Lab. I am involved in several science outreach programs, including Women in Science Promoting Inclusion in Research Experiences. When I am not in the lab, I enjoy gardening and listening to audio books.
